How are you applying the skills you’ve learned from the MBA in your current role?

I am applying the skills that I learned from my MBA less around the subject choices that I made and the subjects that I learned and more around the disciplines that I learned as a consequence of studying my MBA. And what I mean by that is that it’s more around time management, making sure that I can formulate an effective argument, and being able to study effectively in my own time and in my own way.

Would you attribute any of your career success to having done the MBA?

I believe that the MBA has absolutely contributed to my career success. I am actively looked at on LinkedIn and other social media, I’m a respected member of the Customer Experience Community, and I’m asked regularly to speak at conferences across industry and across the discipline.

What are the best aspects of being able to study online with AIB?

For me, the best part around being able to study online with AIB is being able to fit in my entire life and also make time for my study. It gave me the flexibility to be able to study when and how I wanted but it also provided me with the support that I knew was there whenever I needed to reach out to someone online.

Looking back at your journey, what were the best parts and greatest challenges and how did you overcome those challenges?

For me, the best parts and also the most challenging part of studying my MBA and across my whole journey was actually the same thing. And what I mean by that is that being able to actually fit in my study, my family, and my career all at one time was challenging because I had to make sure that my time management was really clear and defined. But at the same time, it was also rewarding because I could see exactly how much I could do, how much potential I had, and what I was able to achieve.
