Business Analytics for Managers students complete two assessments in the subject.
The first assessment will involve selecting a case organisation, either your current workplace or one you are familiar with, to assess its current business analytics practices and maturity level. Your findings will assist your organisation in identifying the key areas of focus for advancing its business analytics capability to create a sustainable competitive advantage.
For the second assessment, you’ll use the key decision problems identified in the first assessment to research the relevant industry practices and develop a plan to assist your organisation in optimising its business analytics.
As an analyst, my world revolves around figures. I do a lot of data analytics around freight and warehousing data and validating interpretations, which helps senior management make informed decisions. The process of completing the MBA assignments helped enhance my skills in comparison, judgments and interpretation, which I do apply in my daily analysis role.
