Vera’s career in hospitality began in 2006 with a three-year hospitality management apprenticeship in one of the luxury hotels in Germany. Since then, she’s gained experience in hospitality management roles, including food & beverage leader, sales manager and front office manager, with a continuous passion for ensuring excellent customer service.
In 2013, Vera began working at Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort, which later changed to One & Only Wolgan Valley Resort; one of the Luxury Lodges of Australia. After a year there, she received a promotion to Guest Service Manager and undertook several training courses in leadership and training. Her next career move took Vera to countryside Victoria where she joined Lake House Daylesford, another Luxury Lodge of Australia resort, as Front Office Manager. Soon after, she was promoted to Hotel Manager and later to the role of International Event Sales Manager, playing a pivotal role in the hotel’s navigation through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Vera now resides in Perth, working for The Westin Perth as Executive Assistant and Quality Assurance Manager, a role that provides the opportunity to teach, mentor and improve hotel operations.
