Why disability was not going to hold Emily Korir back
Emily Korir had ambitions to study an MBA, but while she was in her 30s, she had a major setback. Emily had a stroke. After 12 months of rehab, she started the course, and although she shares it was very challenging at times, she wanted to complete the MBA to show that no matter what obstacle you face, if you put your mind to something, you can achieve it. We think she’s a sterling example of that.
Emily shares how she challenged the perception of disabilities in earning her MBA.
With two young children at home, Emily was also faced with the challenges parents and guardians often encounter when adding the MBA commitment to family life. As Emily explains in the following video, the MBA experience has made her family unit stronger and taught her children some valuable lessons they will carry throughout their lives.
