What you can expect from the subject
Within the AIB MBA, Entrepreneurship stands as a core subject for students undertaking the MBA (Entrepreneurial Management) specialisation but can also be undertaken as an elective subject for students undertaking the MBA (General) Award. This subject is designed to equip you with the tools needed to develop skills and knowledge that will enable you to add significant social, cultural and economic value to society through entrepreneurial activity, no matter your career path.
Over the course of the subject, you will be exploring the process of entrepreneurship, including the key life cycle stages of an entrepreneurial venture, strategies for growing a business, the drivers of entrepreneurial culture and the requirements for developing a resource base needed to pursue entrepreneurial initiatives.
Underpinned by a strong theoretical foundation and research on entrepreneurship, you will delve into contemporary entrepreneurial professional practices – gaining practical, in-depth knowledge that bridges the gap between theory and real-world application; building the behaviours, attributes, and competencies that drive entrepreneurial success. In doing so, you will be building skills to envision and implement groundbreaking ideas and devise creative solutions which are valuable for business leaders to thrive in a disruptive, digital, and global environment.
