CEO Magazine – 2022 MBA Rankings

According to the CEO Magazine, their objective is simple: ‘to identify schools that marry exceptional quality with great ROI’.

One of the most extensive of all the rankings, the CEO Magazine’s ranking system includes schools from North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa). It also ranks data from over 180 schools offering 347 different programs in 27 countries – 98 of those programs being online, 92 Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) and 157 full-time and part-time programs.

CEO Magazine prides itself on looking beyond the marketing brochures and ad campaigns to examine the MBA in depth. They consider things such as:

AFR Boss Magazine

Every two years, the AFR Boss Magazine publishes a ranking of Australian business schools’ MBA programs. The latest rankings were shared in 2019.

With the help of a market research agency, the AFR conducts two surveys – one with alumni and another with the schools directly. The first survey involves over a thousand past students and asks for their feedback on the programs, their delivery and the value offered. This survey is weighted at 55% of the final results.

The second survey requires schools to provide information on their entry requirements, research output, staff and the quality and diversity of students. The questions asked may vary from year to year due to the shifts in the university and industry environments. MBA schools also often introduce important changes into their programs that need to be accounted for.
